Gulmi, Mar. 1: General Secretary of the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) Dr Sashank Koirala has opined for referendum to decide whether Nepal should be a secular or Hindu state.
While addressing a diamond jubilee celebration programme of the Mahendra Adarsha Secondary School at Musikot municiplity-7 on in the district Friday, leader Koirala argued that Nepal should be established as Hindu state as it is the provenance of Hinduism.
Leader Koirala said that the conversion was in high in the country and it should be stopped soon.
The school has also organized shreemadbhagvad mahayagya to generate fund for running technical classes in the school.
About Rs 40 million has been collected in the mahayagya so far. The religious ceremony will run till March 5. RSS
