Kathmandu, Sept. 14: Minister for Youth and Sports Rajendra Kumar KC has said players have a significant role to boost country's image.
During a programme organized to see off a player, coach and officer for a seventh global karate championship being held in Canada, Minister KC said on Thursday, "Many players have performed excellent in the international match despite meagre resources. It is indeed a matter of happiness for the country."
In the competition to be held from September 28 to October 1, player Achyut Raj Upreti is representing Nepal. Team manager Ashok Pandey, officer Janardan Uprety, and international couch Indra Bahadur Sahi are accompanying player Upreti.
Upreti expressed confidence that that he would do his best to earn fame to the country. RSS
