Urlabari, Morang, Jan. 11: Former Prime Minister and Naya Shakti Nepal Coordinator Dr Baburam Bhattarai on Friday stressed the need for ensuring unity among all castes and religions to prosper the country.
Saying a decade-long insurgency was waged to empower all castes and religions with their rights, he viewed that the country was still facing difficulties to pursue prosperity. He was inaugurating the silver jubilee of the Bhattarai Kulbamsha Pratisthan at Damak Municipality-4 in Jhapa.
He also underscored the need for developing the Pratisthan into a technical educational centre in a bid to create job opportunities.
Likewise, Nepal Communist Party leader and lawmaker Yogesh Bhattarai claimed that the incumbent government would drive the country to the path of prosperity.
The event will continue till January 13. Representatives of the provincial, district and town committee of Bhattarai dynasty from across the country, and from Barma, Assam, Sikkim and Bengal have participated.
