Kathmandu, Feb. 7: The affect of the Westerly winds led to a change in the climate with rainfall taking place across the country today, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.
The change in the weather and rain is likely to continue until Saturday, while the western and central parts of the country will receive heavy rainfall, says a statement issued by the Division here today.
There is also possibility of snowfall in the mountain region with change in weather pattern in the hill, meteorologist at the Division Sujan Subedi said.
Kathmandu received 10.6 millimeters of rainfall today with a drizzle taking place throughout the day. The highest rainfall today was recorded in Jumla with 23.2 millimeters following by Birendranagar at 22.5, Pokhara at 19 and Dang at 18 millimeters.
Likewise, the temperature also dipped in Kathmandu measuring 10.8 degree Celsius in the maximum and 7.5 in the minimum. It was a maximum of 21 degree Celsius and minimum of 4 degree on Wednesday. RSS
