Surkhet, Dec. 18: Chief Minister of Karnali Province Government, Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has been picked as the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN)’s parliamentary party leader for Karnali Province.
The parliamentary party meeting of the CPN held in province headquarters, Sirkhet, unanimously elected Chief Minister Shahi as the parliamentary party leader.
A meeting attended by CPN Karnali Province co in-charge and province assembly member Yamlal Kandel, Chairperson Gorakh Bahadur Bogati and Secretary Maya Prasad Acharya, among others nominated Shahi as a parliamentary party leader of the Karnali Province, informed Province Assembly member Gopal Sharma.
Earlier, Kandel was the parliamentary party leader of the CPN-UML while Shahi was the leader of parliamentary party of the CPN (Maoist Centre).
