Biratnagar, Feb. 9: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal has said that the federal government is committed to federalism.
Speaking at a press meet organised by Press Chautari Morang here today, he said the government was drafting laws to implement the constitution and federalism in the country. "Of the 339 laws, 165 have already been enacted while more are in the process of formulation and amendment," he said.
Stating that the probe committee was looking into the alleged corruption in the purchase of wide-body aircraft, he said though the term of the office-bearers of the transitional justice mechanism came to an end the commissions would continue to function.
He also said that the government was holding regular consultation and deliberations in the judicial council to increase people's faith towards the judiciary. Chautari Chair Ram Chandra Adhikari presided over the programme. RSS
