Biratnagar, Mar. 17: India has thrashed Sri Lanka 5-0 and emerged a winner in today’s group B fixture match under the ongoing 5th SAFF Women’s Championship.
With the win in the match played at the Martyr Stadium in Biratnagar, Morang, the Indian team has entered the semi-final of the Championship.
India’s Grace Dangmaei scored an opening goal in the 4th minutes of the match while Sandhiya Ranganathan made it 2-0 in the 7th minute.
Similarly, Indumati Katheresan scored the third goal in the 36th minute and Sangita Basfore made the forth one in the 44th minute utilizing the penalty awarded to the Indian team to give India a 4-0 lead during the first half.
Likewise, in the second half, Ratnabala Devi Nangnamethem scored the fifth goal in the 47th minute.
