Ratnanagar (Chitwan) Feb. 20: Nepali Congress General Secretary Dr Sashanka Koirala has opined for changing the leadership of the party.
Talking briefly to media persons at Bharatpur Airport Tuesday, leader Koirala said, "Even the party leadership needs change, which is possible through convention."
In response to journalists' queries regarding the party unification between CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre), leader Koirala said it was challenge before NC after the unity of two major left parties therefore, so NC needs to act tactfully.
The unification has given a message to NC to be reformed and competitive. He further realized that NC was weakening and informed that reform process was on.
General Secretary Koirala also, lawmaker to the federal parliament, clarified that he would be the candidate to the parliament party leader only after forging consensus on it. RSS
