Baitadi, Nov. 10: In view of the upcoming elections, the District Administration Office has decided to bar the production, sale and consumption of alcohol in the district from November 21. The ban will continue until the vote counting concludes, said Chief District Officer Siddha Raj Joshi. The House of Representatives and State Assemblies will be held on November 26. Each local level, and police unit has been notified of the decision, while security arrangement has been tightened, Joshi said.
Meanwhile, all election materials have arrived in the district, said the district election office.
Election education programme will conduct from November 12, and voters' education will be imparted to volunteers from November 11, said Madhav Prasad Phuyal, chief of the election office, Baitadi. RSS
