Itahari, Sunsari, Jan. 27: The Three Star Club defeated the Manang Marsyangdi Club 1-0 in the finals of Madan Bhandari Memorial Itahari Gold Cup in Itahari on Saturday.
The Three Star took the lead after Buddha Chemjong scored a goal in the 37th minute of the first half, which later became a victory goal. He utilized a pass from Bimal Gharti Magar.
The winner received Rs 1.2 million in cash, while the first runner-up team Rs 500,000 in cash.
Ananta Tamang of the Three Star was declared the best player, while coach Megha Raj KC the best coach. Goalkeeper Alen Neupane was declared the best goalkeeper. Likewise, Sujal Shrestha of the Manang Marsyangdi was declared the game's highest scorer. RSS
