Kathmandu, July 16: Nepal finished team champion in the South Asian Invitational Taekwando tournament that concluded here today.
In total, Nepal finished with 53 gold, 55 silver and 80 bronze medals. India came second with 43 gold, 40 silver and 39 bronze medals while Turkmenistan finished third with seven gold, two silver and one bronze medals.
Nepal also bagged the team champion title in both the junior and senior groups. Nepal's Rubina Khadka won the best athlete title with three gold medals in the senior women's category.
