Kathmandu, Dec. 27: Seven different organizations including People’s Cultural Federation, Nepal have expressed their reservation to the recent appointments at the Nepal Academy.
People’s Cultural Federation, Nepal; All Nepal Writers’ Association; All Nepal People’s Artiste Association, All Nepal Fine Arts Association; All Nepal Cine Artiste Association; All Nepal Theatre Artist Association; Lokbarta Council, Nepal and Council for History and Society Studies have issued a joint press statement to express their dissatisfaction over the appointment of academicians in the Nepal Academy.
They have argued that the appointments were not made on the basis of principle.
Chairman of People’s Cultural Federation, Nepal Saral Sahayatri said that some appointees in the Academy lack knowledge on culture adding that such appointments should be done based on ideological and cultural values. RSS
