Kathmandu, Sept. 25: Nepal defeated Bangladesh 2-1 in the match played today under the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Under-18 Championship underway in Bhutan.
Both teams had scored one goal each before half time. Nepal scored its winning goal in the second half of the game at the 80th minute.
Abhisek Rijal had scored the first goal for Nepal in the 22nd minute while Bangladesh's Mohammad Al Amin scored the equalizer in the 30th minute.
Nepal has played two matches before this. It won one while losing one. In its first match, Nepal lost to Bhutan 0-1 and won the second match against Maldives 2-0.
This is Bangladesh's first defeat in the championship. Before this, Bangladesh had played two matches winning in both.
In another match played today under the championship, India defeated Maldives 2-1.
Nepal will meet India in its fourth match on Wednesday. RSS
