Kathmandu, Aug. 29: Nepal lost to Oman by 7 wickets in the first match of the Asia Cup Qualifiers 2018 underway in the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
Oman achieved a target of 222 run set by Nepal in the 48 overs losing three wickets. Khawar Ali made 84 runs not out for Oman with six 6s and four boundaries. Likewise, Captain Zeeshan Maqsood contributed 45 runs not out, while Vaibhav Wategaonkar 41 and Jatinder Singh 30.
Earlier, Nepal scored 221 runs after being put to bat upon losing the toss. Gyanendra Malla hit 45 runs, and Aarif Shekh 36. Likewise, Karan KC made 26 runs not out.
For Oman, Bilal Khan, Mohammad Nadeem and Ajaya Lalcheta claimed two wickets each. Nepal, Oman, UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong and hosts Malaysia are taking part in the Qualifiers. RSS
