Bharatpur, Feb. 3: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabidra Adhikari has opined for upgrading the Bharatpur Airport and extending its service hours.
While interacting with local bodies’ representatives, security bodies and airport officials here today, Minister Adhikari urged one and all to pay special attention to the managerial and other aspects as upgrading activities were underway to expand its capacity.
He also shared that most of the airports in different parts of the country were being upgraded and the airport will soon begin night flight. Minister Adhikari had shared that the infrastructure construction works would be speeded up without obstructing the regular flights.
Prior to this, Minister Adhikari while directing the officials on Saturday had stated that the upgrading task was urgent also because a stadium of international standard and the city hall were going to be constructed soon and the airport obviously bears the pressure of the growing number of passengers.
