No obstruction to government’s five-year term: Chairman Dahal

10/10/2018

Kathmandu, Oct. 10: Chairman of Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said there was no obstruction at all to run the government smoothly for five years.
Serious discussion was continuous in the party to augment development, good governance and stability, he said, arguing that the government has developed good relations with the neighbours in the recent time.
During a programme organized here on the occasion of the coming Dashain festival and distribution of ID cards to goodwill ambassadors of Pathibhara of Taplejung, Chairman Dahal however said the questions over delayed activities of the government have drawn party's attention. "Today morning, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and I had serious review over the functioning of the government and the party. We discussed how the government activities could be made more effective wiping out the loopholes," he shared.
The former Prime Minister Dahal also said the country was deprived of able political leadership and farsighted visions resulting instability, but now the people are for stability.
According to him, the by-election would not be held to defeat the party. No official decision of the party was made so far on asking Ram Bir Manandhar to resign from the post.
He admitted that the party though was successful to elect youth leader Yogesh Bhattarai from Taplejung failed to make him minister. The commitment would however be fulfilled, he assured.
On the occasion, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Rabindra Prasad Adhikari, informed that budget was allocated for the upgrading of the Suketar airport of Taplejung.
Leader Yogesh Bhattarai said it was laudable that government made agreement with China to open the Olanchungola border point. RSS
