500,000 jobs in five years: Minister Banskota

Kavrepalanchok, June 29: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Banskota on Saturday said employment opportunities would be created for 500,000 Nepali within next five years. "Rest assured. About 500,000 Job opportunities would be created within next five years," he said while addressing a programme organised at Kushadevi of the district to declare Panauti municipality-2 and 3 a child friendly governance wards. He referred to job opportunities provided by the government to 20,000 Nepali in one year. In next five years, 5,000 kilowatts electricity would be generated and sold to neighbouring countries, he claimed. Nepal's per capita income would reach USD 12,500 by 2030, he claimed. ` Saying road construction and upgradation would be expedited, he said special focuses would be on agriculture, education, health, entrepreneurship and employments as well. Minister Banskota committed to enforcing the 'clean feed' policy at any cost. On another note, he opined that the government officials and community school teachers should enroll their children in community schools. He also stressed on improving the quality of public schools. Earlier, Minister Banskota laid a foundation stone for the construction of park at Devisthan Danda in the district. The park will be constructed at a total cost of Rs 50 million. RSS
