Itahari, Dec. 2: Nepali Congress leader and Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar has said the situation demands the mandatory win of the Nepali Congress in the election to stabilise the democratic governance system and for successful enforcement of the constitution.
In his address to election assemblies organised by the Nepali Congress at different places of Itahari Sub Metropolis Saturday, he claimed that the NC victory was essential in these elections (House of Representatives and State Assemblies) to build a just society and ensure full implementation of the federalism by safeguarding democracy.
On the occasion, he said, "The credit for bringing the then rebelling Maoists to the mainstream politics putting an end to the decade-long armed conflict goes to the Congress." It was the same party that had a leading role in every movement launched for change in the country.
It is like of axing own leg to have a trust on unhealthy and unnatural alliance between two leftist parties formed envisaging the one-party dictatorship in the country, according to him. RSS
