Ratnanagar (Chitwan), Aug. 31: One more person lost her life to scrub typhus in Chitwan, confirmed the District Public Health Office, Chitwan.
According to the information provided by District Public Health Office, Chitwan on Wednesday, a 21-year-old woman of Nawalparasi district, who was infected of scrub typhus, died while undergoing treatment at the Central Hospital in Bharatpur, Chitwan.
Ram Kumar KC of the District Public Health Office shared that she was taken to hospital for treatment of scrub typhus on July 24 and breathed her last on August 26.
The District Public Health Office, Chitwan said that 133 out of 497 people examined were found infected of scrub typhus in the district in the current fiscal year. RSS
