Khotang, May 23: Altogether seven leaders have been appointed as the central committee (CC) members of the newly-formed Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) from Khotang district.
Tanka Rai, Samita Karki (Asmita), Ram Kumar Rai (Pasang) and Durga Jayanti Rai of the then Maoist Centre, and Bishal Bhattarai, Khagendra Rai and Rajan Rai of the then CPN (UML) are appointed the CC members of the CPN.
Tanka Rai was the standing committee (SC) member of the Maoist Centre while three others were the politburo members of the same party.
Tanka Rai, Samita Karki and Durga Jayanti Rai served as the lawmakers in the past while Ram Kumar Rai is the province assembly member from Khotang-1 (B).
Likewise, Khagendra Rai was the central committee member of the UML while Bishal Bhattarai and Rajan Rai were the alternate CC members.
Bhattarai is the Member of Parliament from Khotang while Rajan Rai is the province assembly member from Khotang-1 (A). RSS
