Kathmandu, Dec. 30: Nepal Drug Proprietors Association honoured world gold medalist Maheswar Maharjan at a function held here on Saturday.
Maharjan was honoured with a cash prize of Rs. 100,000 and a letter of citation. Maharjan was honoured for becoming the world champion in the recently concluded 10th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation Championship.
At the programme, senior ophthalmologist Dr Sanduk Ruit honoured Maharjan while calling upon athletes to work to enhance social unity by promoting nationality in the world stage.
Bodybuilder Maharjan lauded the honour, which he said would inspire him and other athletes to perform better in the days to come. RSS
