Kaski, Mar. 8: Gandaki State Assembly Speaker Netranath Adhikari has stressed the need to establish equal treatment to women in the making of prosperous country.
The country could not be prospered until exploitation, oppression and discrimination based on gender, class and caste were not put to an end, Adhiakri said in a greeting exchange programme organised by the State Assembly secretariat on the occasion of 109th International Women's Day today.
"The Nepal Constitution has bestowed several rights to women. Now is the time to focus on its implementation aspects", he noted.
Likewise, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Hari Bahadur Chuman called for coordinated and concerted efforts from all three tiers of government for ensuring women rights and putting them into actions. RSS
