Kathmandu, Mar. 4: The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Monday made public its new logo and a sample of new jersey to be worn by its national players amid a programme here.
The ANFA's new logo designed by Sandip Tiwari of Pokhara, was chosen from among 570 competitors. The logo features images of Mount Everest at the top, the national flag in the middle and football at the bottom. The emblem also has a line representing all seven States. This is the second time ANFA's logo has been changed. Last time when its emblem was changed was in 20006.
Tiwari was awarded Rs 50,000 for designing the logo at the event attended by ANFA member secretary Keshab Kumar Bista, President Karma Tshering Sherpa and Pradip Neupane, a representative of a Spanish Sportswear company Kelme. The company has been contracted to manufacture the new jerseys for the Nepali national football teams.
Likewise, the new jerseys will have a combination of red and blue colours. The front part will have an image of Mt Everest and ANFA's logo in between. The back part will have a picture of the national flag. ANFA designed the jersey itself, while the Spanish company will manufacture the jerseys.
The ANFA also unveiled a national football song. The song is composed by Byakul Maile, the composer of national anthem, and sung by Aananda Karki, Shiva Pariyar and Indira Joshi. RSS
