Kathmandu, Sept. 23: CPN (Maoist Centre) chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has claimed that some people tried to make the national politics a 'dirty game'.
"Politics is meant for serving the people. Some people attempted to make it a dirty game which is never acceptable for the party," he said while addressing a tea reception organised by the All Nepal Sports Federation on the occasion of the upcoming festivals.
"Sports has its certain rules, standards, norms and values. This is not only beneficial for athletes and keeps values in their personal life, instead its helps the nation become healthy and prosperous."
According to him, politics is also a type of game and it has too its own rules, norms and values.
Recalling the moment the previous government headed by himself identifying volleyball as the national game he insisted on the need of increasing investment in sports and boost up confidence of athletes.
At the programme, former deputy prime ministers and CPN (MC) leaders Top Bahadur Raymajhi, sitting Home Minister Janardan Sharma and Federation chair Shiba Koirala were of the view that the State should increase investment in sports. RSS
