Three-day Int'l Hindu Conference kicks off

Kathmandu, Aug. 31: A three-day International Hindu Conference began at Pashupati area in Kathmandu from Thursday.
More than 300 delegates from Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and America are participating in the conference organised by the Sanatan Sanskriti Samaj Nepal.
Inaugurating the conference, Samaj chairperson and former mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Haribol Bhattarai, said that the country was declared secular to do away with Hindu religion and Buddhism from Nepal.
Various persons including Jagatguru Nrisinghacharya Rishipal Anandaji Maharaj, chairperson of International Brahmin Society, Dr Suresh Chandra Kaushik, general secretary Rishi Sharma, among others expressed the belief that the conference would play significant role for the publicity of matters useful for life mentioned in Vedic philosophy.
Journalist and litterateur Dinesh Satyal (Shaurav) presented a working paper 'Problems of cultural encroachment: challenges in Vedic Sanatan religion' and discussion was also held on the working paper today itself.
Similarly, eight other working papers would be presented in the conference, said organizing committee member Suraj Raj Kafle. RSS
