Dhangadhi, Kailali, Oct. 12: Rastrakabi Madhav Prasad Ghimire will be honoured with the 'Maniraj Bangmaya Award'. The announcement was made at a press conference organised in Kailali district today by the Nepali Literature and Culture Institution, Godawari (Kailali).
"It is a matter of pride for us to honour the Rastrakabi, and the prize will be handed out on the eve of the centenary birthday of Rastrakabi Ghimire," said Chairperson of the Institution Padam Raj Joshi, speaking at the conference.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs 100,000 in cash. Rastrakabi Ghimire was recommended for the award by a three-member recommending committee led by Prof Dr Ram Chandra Bhatta.
Established with Rs 1 million fund last year by Gobinda Raj, son of late litterateur Mani Raj Joshi, in memory of Mani Raj, the award is handed out every year. RSS
