Khotang, Jan. 9: The district coordination committee has decided to introduce a dress code for local representatives.
A committee meeting held recently took a decision to this effect.
As per the dress code, male representatives will wear daura suruwal, dhaka topi and coat with a logo showing two hands holding the country's map and the national flag while on duty, while female representatives chaubandi choli, sari and coat.
The efforts aim to help local people and government employees identify local representatives at a glance while on duty, said chief of the district coordination committee Babi Chamling.
The committee has written to all local levels including municipality and rural municipalities in this regard, he said. RSS
