Itahari, Jan. 8: Nepali Army leads the medals tally in the second day of the 42nd National Sports Council Championship National Athletics Games 2017 underway here.
Nepali Army has so far won four gold, two silver and two bronze medals.
Likewise, Nepal Police has won one gold, two silver while Armed Police Force has won one silver and three bronze medals.
Meanwhile, in the 100 meters men's hurdles today, NA's Raka Prasad Tharu won a gold medal while Nepal Police athlete Chandra Dev Joshi and NA's Nir Bahadur Chaudhary won silver and bronze respectively.
Likewise, in women's discus throw, NA's Amrita Mahato won gold while Hira Chaudhary of Nepal Police and Jit Kumari Mahato of Armed Police won silver and bronze respectively. In the men's category of the same sport, Puskal Khadka of Nepal Police won a gold medal while NA's Binod Rai and Prem Huching of Armed Police won the silver and bronze medal respectively.
Umesh Magar of Nepal Army won the gold medal in the 1500 meters men's race while Saraswati Bhattarai, also of Nepal Army won the gold medal in the women's category of the same event. RSS
