Kathmandu, Feb. 14: Nepal has entered into the final of Hero Gold Cup Women Football.
Nepal reached to the final of the tournament with Myanmar defeating India in the final match of league round of the tournament underway in India.
Keeping its winning streak unbeaten, Myanmar remained atop with nine points while Nepal secured six points from three games. With this Nepal is to take on league leader Myanmar for the title on coming Friday.
Host India secured three points with only one win while Iran returned home without making any point.
Earlier on Wednesday, Nepal defeated Iran in the final match of league round and prepared the solid base for final.
Striker Sabitra Bhandari had netted two and Anita Basnet one goal to bring Nepal to victory. India had hosted the women football tournament targeting SA Championship and Olympic qualifying. RSS
