Pokhara, May 31: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has underlined the need of maintaining discipline to make the party strong.
Inaugurating the Kaski district convention here today, President Deuba said that the party is becoming weaker due to growing indiscipline and the party would not be enabled until action is taken against the betrayers.
Noting that the NC had been in long and persisting struggle for the establishment of democracy, he said the NC should be strong for safeguarding democracy.
"It is imperative for the party to reach out to the people. Anticipated goals can be attained only when the party is strong at the people's level", the President added.
Senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel accused the incumbent government of ruling the country by intimidating the constitutional bodies including Supreme Court and Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).
He also underscored that NC should be strong to strengthen and sustain democracy. "Problems have emerged in the party in absence of justice, impartiality and transparency in the leadership which is constraining the party internal unity". RSS
