Kathmandu, Dec. 7: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota has urged the media to give priority to the factual issues for economic prosperity, good governance and corruption free society.
While extending greetings to the newly elected office bearers of Nepal Economic Journalists’ Association elected from 4th Assembly in the capital city Friday, Minister Baskota added that none should fight for rights now because the civil rights were guaranteed by the constitution.
Minister Baskota also said the journalists should write and fight against corruption and irregularities to lead society to the positive direction.
Similarly, FNJ General Secretary Ramesh Bista urged the government to be serious to ensure press freedom.
