Kanchanpur (Saptari), July 28: A senior Madhesi leader, Panchu Prasad Gupta, from Rajbiraj municipality – 7 has passed away.
The 72 – year – old leader was a diabetes patient. He was a central member of an industrial chamber aligned to Rastriya Janata Party, according to family members.
RJP's senior Vice Chairman Mrigendra Kumar Singh Yadav, Joint General Secretary Jaya Prakash Thakur, central member duo Dipendra Chaudhary and Biseshwor Rajak, district coordinator Sunil Kumar Jha among other party members paid tribute to his mortal remains on Thursday at his residence.
He was cremated along the bank of the Saptakoshi river on Thursday. His elder son, Suresh, lit the funeral pyre. RSS
