Kathmandu, August 2: A security committee meeting held at Election Commission today has pledged to further consolidate security arrangement in view of local level election to take place in Province-2 on coming September 18.
The meeting presided over by Security Committee Coordinator Sudhir Kumar Shah and attended by Home Ministry Secretary, Nepal Army Chief of General Staff and Chiefs of Nepal Police, Armed Police Office and National Investigation Department took the decision.
On the occasion, Chief Commissioner at Election Commission of Nepal Dr Ayodhee Prasad Yadav directed the committee to make high-level security arrangement for free, fair and fearless elections.
EC Spokesperson Surya Prasad Sharma shared that the discussion focused on security strategies prepared in connection with management and mobilization of security forces in view of election at Bharatpur Metropolis-19 on coming August 4.
On the occasion, the committee pledged to present the security strategies charted out by security agencies focusing on the Province-2 to the ECN soon. RSS
