Banke, Aug. 22: Nepali Congress General Secretary Dr Sashank Koirala has accused the government of selling the dream of rail and ships, while swaying the common people.
Inaugurating an orientation programme organized by Nepal Women's Association in Nepalgunj on Wednesday, General Secretary Dr Koirala reiterated that government was indulged on selling dream rather than working for development. "Price hike of daily essentials and the tax have hit the people hard," he said, adding that NC has directed the local levels, it was leading, not to increase tax.
NC Chief Whip Balkrishna Khand admitted that the party faced problems as its practices failed to comply with policy and principles.
Lawmaker and former minister of irrigation Sanjay Gautam said the party was now reinvigorating its base and strengthening the organization. RSS
