Nepalgunj, Mar. 6: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested two civil servants with bribe money taken from service recipients. The CIAA office in Nepalgunj carried out a raid in two government offices of Banke on Tuesday evening, and arrested the two government staffers with Rs. 87,000 in bribe money.
Acting on a special tip-off, the Nayab Subaa of the Nepalgunj Customs Office Laxman Chand was arrested with Rs. 52,000 while Chief of the Quality Certification Office, Banke Binod Kumar Srivastav was arrested with Rs. 35,000, according to CIAA Nepalgunj Office Chief Ganesh Gaire.
Both were caught red handed, as they were taking the bribe money from the service recipients for facilitating the work through their respective offices.
Also on Tuesday, the CIAA Banke raided the Transport Management Office in Nepalgunj and took some documents under its control. RSS
