Kathmandu, Oct. 10: The Department of Transport Management has opened route permit for public vehicles from today.
In order to ease travel of incoming and outgoing passengers with the grand festivals of Nepali, Dashain, Tihar and Chhath coming nearer, the Department has kept the route permit open from October 10 to 17.
Department’s Information Officer Gokarna Prasad Upadhyay said with the opening of route permit the vehicle drivers do not need to wait for turn to carry passengers to their destinations.
General-Secretary of National Federation of Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs, Saroj Sitaula said the open up of route permit would be easier for transport vehicles to carry passengers to their destinations in a comfortable manner.
To ease the movement of other vehicles, the Department has banned the operation of heavy vehicles ‘Multi Alex Tractor Trailer’ entering into Kathmandu with goods during the period. RSS
