NC general secretary calls for enthusiastic conclusion of elections

Nawalparasi, Nov. 4: Nepali Congress general secretary Dr Shashank Koirala has urged the voters to make the House of Representatives and the State Assembly elections enthusiastically successful.
Speaking at a fund handover programme organized at Rajahar of Nawalparasi today, he said the election should be taken as the victory of the country and the people rather than the victory or defeat of the election candidates.
On the occasion a check for Rs 100 thousand provided to the Barhakol Drinking Water Consumers Committee by the Jana Samparka Samiti, Belgium was handed over to the committee for construction of a water reservoir at Devchuli Municipality-16.
Dr Koirala said he has played a crucial role in retaining the Nawalpur area of Nawalparasi district in Province No. 4 in course of delineation of the province boundaries, adding that a trauma centre, ring road among other infrastructures would be constructed in the area in the coming five years.
He said he would further put his efforts for the development of Nawalparasi. The NC general secretary stressed that democracy was the prerequisite for the country's prosperity and urged the voters to give the Nepali Congress a resounding victory in the election for consolidation of democracy. RSS
