Nawalparasi, July 16: The government is providing Rs 24.61 million in compensation to the flood-affected people of Susta in west Nawalparasi.
People of Susta area incurred damage running into millions of rupees due to the inundation and floods last year.
The compensation amount is being provided through the Ministry of Irrigation and the Gandak Irrigation Management Division Office will distribute the amount to farmers entitled to the compensation.
Susta rural municipality chairman Ram Prasad Pandey said that the amount could be released only after much effort and convincing.
Flood-affected farmers of Susta rural municipality ward numbers 1 and 2 and of Binayi Tribeni ward numbers 6 and 7 will get the compensation. RSS
