Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif to Kick Off Season 4 of ISL

New Delhi, Nov. 9: The Indian Super League’s fourth season is all set to kick-off on November 17th in Kochi and just like previous editions of ISL, the tournament will kick-off with the grand opening ceremony. However, this time the gala celebration will get bigger as Bollywood top star Salman Khan and his co-star in the upcoming movie Katrina Kaif, who also happens to be Salman’s rumored ex, will entertain the audiences.

Both stars will feature in the upcoming movie Tiger Zinda Hai, which will be released on December 22 and while the celebrity pair will be able to promote their upcoming blockbuster in the opening ceremony, the ISL, as the tournament would profit from the enormous popularity of Salman and Katrina.

The ceremony will be followed by season opener between hosts Kerala Blasters and defending champions ATK. The game was previously scheduled to take place in Kolkata, however, the organisers later decided to shift the opening ceremony and the first match to the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium, Kochi.

The reworked schedule means the home and away matches of Kerala Blasters and ATK have been interchanged. While Blasters will host ATK at JLN stadium in the opening game of ISL 4, the return leg in Kolkata between the two teams will be played on February 9.

Also, noteworthy changes have been fused into the league structure this season as unlike before, the latest edition of ISL won’t be jam-packed and this time the matches will be played three days a week. A total of 95 matches will be played this season with ten participating teams. Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC are two new additions to ISL 4. INDIA.COM
