Baniyani, (Jhapa) Jan. 17: Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) standing committee member Yogesh Bhattarai has said that the government would protect the life of protesting Dr Govinda KC.
Dr KC has been staging hunger strike, demanding the passage of national medical education bill in line with the agreement the government had with him in the past.
Leader Bhattarai, also member of the Education and Health Committee under the federal parliament, added that the government would create a win-win situation to address his demands.
At a press conference in the district on Thursday, leader Bhattarai however urged Dr KC to end hunger strike because nearly 90 per cent of his demands KC were addressed in the bill. RSS
