Kathmandu, Feb. 2: Khusi Hirachan of Nepal Police Hospital, Muna Shrestha of New Road Hospital and Armed Police Force, Nepal's Puja Yadav have emerged victorious under different categories in the 2nd Nurse Athletics tournament concluded here today.
Hirachan won in the 3 kilometre race while Shrestha and Yadav secured first position in the 100 metre and 200 metre race respectively. Similarly, Nepal Police Hospital bagged first position in the 400-metre relay race, according to Dr Khagendra Sports Foundation's Secretary-General Rajat Shrestha.
Altogether 205 nurses of 27 hospitals in the Kathmandu Valley participated in the athletic sports organized by the Dr Khagendra Sports Foundation at the ground of Armed Police Force, Nepal at Halchowk in Kathmandu.
The athletics with the title 'Sports for Discipline, Sports for Health, Sports for one and all' was organized with an objective to boost the morale of nurses for them to render effective medical services to the patients, according to the Foundation. RSS
