Kathmandu, Nov. 13: The 10th South Asia Economic Summit is beginning here tomorrow with the objective of holding extensive deliberations on the problems facing the development of South Asia.
More than 200 delegates from the South Asian countries are taking part in the conference to be hosted jointly by the Ministry of Commerce, National Planning Commission and South Asia Watch on Trade, Economics and Environment (SAWTEE).
Commerce Ministers, planning experts and economists from the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) member countries and experts from SAARC observer countries are taking part in the summit, according to NPC Vice-chair Swarnim Wagley.
Extensive deliberations shall be held on 18 themes including inter-regional trade, sustainable development goals, inclusive development, climate change, inter-regional investment, disaster risk mitigation, among others in the three-day summit. RSS
