Kathmandu, July 11: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central bank, is launching the new monetary policy later in the afternoon today.
The new monetary policy will include a solid base for materialising the objectives set out in the budget for fiscal year 2018/19, NRB spokesman Narayan Poudel said.
The NRB is making public the monetary policy for the fiscal year 2018/19 based on an analysis of the budgetary allocations, the current fiscal situation and the positive and negative condition of the implementation of the monetary policy of the current fiscal year.
The budget for the next fiscal year has set an ambitious target of 8 per cent economic growth rate and 6.5 per cent inflation rate. It is believed that the new monetary policy has taken these targets into account. RSS
