Ghorahi, Sept. 28: Nepali Congress Vice-President Bimalendra Nidhi has said time has come for the amendment of party statute in order to restructure and modernize the party.
During a province level discussion on party statute here Friday, Vice President Nidhi said the amendment of party statute was also to realize the party agenda as federalism, secularism, democracy, socialism and non-violence. The statute amendment committee was formed to effectively mobilize all levels of the party in the province, district and constituency.
Former minister and province coordinator of the statute amendment committee, Ramesh Lekhak, said it was the need of time to amend the party charter.
Also speaking on the occasion were former minister Dipak Giri, central member Kishor Singh Rathaur, leaders from Dang, Banke, Bardiya, Rupandehi, Pyuthan, Rolpa and West Rukum. RSS
