Kathmandu, Aug. 15: The Church Boys United Kathmandu has clinched the second Pathivara Gold Cup Football Championship title.
Church Boys defeated Sagarmatha Youth Club Biratchok Morang, 3-0, in the final of the championship held at the Bhanujan Secondary School playground at Phungling of Taplejung district on Monday.
The winner team received the trophy, medal and certificates and cash prize of Rs 211 thousand 111 while the first runner-up team Sagarmatha Youth Club Biratchok Morang got medals, certificates and cash Rs 111 thousand 111.
The championship had kicked off on August 6. Ten teams including two from the district had participated in the football championship. The Pathivara Gold Cup Football Championship has continued for the last 45 years. RSS
