Malekhu (Dhading), Nov. 18: At a time when elections have gripped other areas of the district with candidates canvassing voters, the Chepangs of Gajuri-6, Syamidanda of southern Dhading, however, are busy materializing their year-old dream to resolve the drinking water crisis.
The Satya Sai Sewa Sangathan Nepal has started community drinking water scheme here. The foundation stone of the scheme was laid by Reddy and Ms Haima Reddy.
There has been a problem of drinking water in 61 Chepang houses.
Sai Sangathan Nepal Chairperson Amar Bahadur Karki said that the assistance has been provided for drinking water scheme after the crisis of drinking water facing Chepangs came to light through news.
On the occasion, free health camp and community feeding programme were also organized targeting the Chepang community.
As many as 700 Chepang people received benefits from the camp, shared ward member Sangeeta Chepang.
Specialist Doctors had provided health check services in the camp. RSS
