Amargadhi, Nov. 17: Two persons died in a jeep accident at Bhageswor rural municipality-4, Dhimaula in Dadeldhura.
Two people died on the spot and 19 others were injured when the jeep (Ma 1 Ja 180) bound to Dadeldhura district headquarters from Bhageswor rural municipality met with accident this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Dharma Singh Madai, 27, of Bhageswor rural municipality-2 and Deependra Shahi, 45, of ward number 3 of the same rural municipality, confirmed Dambar Bahadur KC, Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) at District Police Office Dadeldhura.
The injured are being treated at the Sub-Regional Hospital in Dadeldhura. The jeep fell down 200 metres off the road. Reason behind the accident is yet to be known.
Among the injured are three-year-old Lkas Giri, Rana Bahadur Shahi, 40, Tanajua Shahi, 11, Nabin Shahi, 22, Bishnu Shahi, 32, and Maya Nagari, 32 of Bhageswor rural municipality, Gauri Bista, 18, of Baitadi Melauli-8, Keshab Malla, 26, of Dhangadhi sub-metropolis-14, Kanari, Sushil Mahato, 12, of Baitadi Lower Sorang and Sharmila Awasthi, 20, of Daiji, Kanchanpur.
Critically injured, Gauri, Sharmila, Keshab and Rana Bahadur, were rushed to the Seti Zonal Hospital Dhangadhi for further treatment, the Sub-Regional Hospital Dadeldhura informed. RSS
