Pokhara, July 1: The province assembly members of the Province No. 4 have said that Pokhara should be declared the provincial capital city of the province.
During the province assembly meeting on Sunday, the lawmakers said that there was no option of Pokhara to name the capital city of the Province No. 4.
At the meeting, lawmaker Krishna Bahadur Thapa tabled a motion seeking deliberations on provincial capital.
Province Assembly member Mayanath Adhikari said that Pokhara was the unopposed city for capital due to availability of physical infrastructures and administrative offices.
Likewise, province assembly members Bishnu Prasad Lamichhane, Ramji Baral, Harisharan Acharya, Dhananjaya Dawadi, Lalitkala Gurung, Dipak Koirala, Indralal Sapkota and others took part in the deliberations and put forth their opinions to name Pokhara as the permanent capital city of Province No. 4.
The next meeting of the province assembly shall hold at 2:00 pm on Monday. RSS
