Mangalbare, Ilam, Dec. 24: Govinda Mainali of Ilam Municipality-9 has donated a plot of land worth Rs 1.5 million to a drinking water users committee.
Mainali donated three anas of land for managing water supply at a settlement at local Bhanjyangmuni. The locals had been facing difficulty for lack of drinking water facility at their place.
He transferred the land in the name of local Dhideni Bhanjyang Water Supply and Sanitation Users Committee. The committee advisor Kishor Karki confirmed that Minali had donated the land plot to the committee.
The users committee plans to install a water tank on the piece of land. Some 400 inhabitants would be benefited after the construction of the water tank from where water would be supplied in the settlement, committee president Hom Bahadur Gautam said. RSS
