Nawalparasi, Feb. 10: A national men's volleyball tournament is to be held in Pratappur rural municipality of west Nawalparasi from coming February 14 to 16. The tournament is being hosted by the rural municipality.
National volleyball clubs including the Nepal Army club and Nepali Police club, and a club from neigbouring India are competing in the event. The winner of the tournament will win a cash prize of Rs. 111,111 while the second and third will walk home with Rs. 51,111 and 25,111 respectively.
The tournament is being organized in collaboration with the National Volleyball Association, according to Pratappur rural municipality chair Raj Kumar Sharma. The tournament has been named first chaircup open national volleyball tournament.
The tournament is expected to cost around 500,000 rupees. RSS
